The populace was 49,079 at the 2010 census. Originally home to northern transplants and vacationers, the hundred year old town/city has grown into the fourth biggest city in Pinellas County, the most densely-populated county in Florida.
Pinellas Park contains a substantial portion of the "Gateway" region of the county, targeted for future infrastructure, residentiary, and commercial evolution as it sits roughly in the middle of the Tampa Bay area's over two million citizens .

In the city, the populace was spread out with 21.4% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 20.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
