The populace was 18,493 at the 2010 census. It has the lesser population of the two principal metros/cities of the Panama City - Lynn Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area.

As of the census of 2010, there were 18,493 citizens , 4,898 homeholds, and 3,649 families residing in the city.
